Light

One of the most inportant experimentson light was made by Isaac Newton. he was the greatest of all English men of science.
Over 300 years ago, sir Isaac Newton passed on a beam of white light through a prism.
He discoved that sunshine (white light) is made up of many different colours.
these colours are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and  violet.
Isaac Newton then sent this light through a second prism where the light became white once again.

Spinner

Our goal is to make a spinner filled with colours so that when it spins really fast you could only see white.
Materials we need:

• Card         
• String
• Scissors
• Rulers
• Pens
• Pencils

The spinner spins around so fast that our eyes cannot Keep up with all of the separate colours. They look as if they are mixing up together and so appear white or a whitish colour.
